You've been Hacked :) |
Hacking used to be like stealing data and other private stuffs from a computer. Its a crime of being a hacker (the person who hacks a server). So cybersecurity enforced the law that hacking is illegal, and I suppose that the world now consist of lesser hackers?
For this era now, hacking now is not only stealing data, hijacking a person social network account is one of the new hacking "category".
With the new technology (Smartphones,iPad, iPhones and so on), it do consist of a social networking application (Facebook, Twitter etc.). When a user log in their account via these social networking application, they tend to not log out after they are done using. By not logging out, you are risking your account of being hacked.
There are 2 main reason why I mention that your account are in the risk of being hacked.
- When you lose your phone, stealers will intend to go through your hand phone if your hand phone is not protected with password. By going through it, they can even steal your personal data and sometimes, threatening you with all the private data stored in your hand phones.
- A friend of yours borrows your phone to make a phone call, then he/she such a busy body, go to your social networking site, invades your privacy as well as posting status like "I'm smelly, I suck" or complementing people as well as giving negative comments.
- LOG OUT YOUR ACCOUNT WHENEVER YOU ARE NOT USING IT
- HAVE A STRONG PASSWORD
- CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD FREQUENTLY
- DO NOT SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS WITH ANYONE
- DO NOT CLICK ON POPUP ADS
These are the few steps needed to be taken for all users. If you are being a victim from Hacking, you can report your case to CyberSecurity Malaysia, they are willing to help you.
Do take care of your accounts and data:)
