Hey hey readers!
It's me again! Haha! So what really happened in the month of August? Well, it's just me and my dad, headed way up to the north side of the world (wait, not to North Pole), to the land of smiles, Thailand. :)
This time was a short trip, a 4 days 2 night trip I will say. But, mom and sister did not join this time since its just a guys outing (sort ladies haha). Let's start the getaway agenda! But before that, this trip was a Temple Trip okay! Not a shopping trip (now you know why the girls don't wanna come along). Throughout the whole trip, it was raining everyday because it was the raining season.
Day 1
Day 1 was the day me and my dad arrive. We left Kuala Lumpur about 5.50pm (Malaysia Time), and reached Suvarnabhumi Airport at about 6.45pm (Thai Time). Waited 10minutes for the driver to come, and tadaa! Straight to the hotel to check in!

The entrance of the hotel |
Bangkok is famous with one thing, TRAFFIC! From airport to hotel, it took almost 1hour30minutes! In the end, we reached the hotel about 8.30pm. Guess what hotel we stayed? A lot of people told us (me and my dad) that we were crazy since it was a temple trip, you won't be in the hotel all day, why don't you just stay in some budget hotel? Umm, I actually have no idea why, so as my dad.

So we stayed at Millennium Hilton, Bangkok. Yes, the one along the Chao Phraya River. The room was okay, a lot of issues happened during my stay. Had the room with the view of the river, which was pretty I would say! Room was okay in terms of space, toilet size was nice for a 5 star hotel, bed was okay, so as the pillow. I will write later about the issues of this hotel.
Right after dropping the luggages, time for food hunting! The only place we could go is to Asiatique. Finally I have the opportunity to get to sit the shuttle boat exclusively for Hilton Guest! Haha, I know I sound Ulu (like native guy came out from the jungle), in KL you don't get to sit boat every time okay!
 |
Daddy and I on the boat |
Reached Asiatique, it was drizzling. Walked around the place for a short while, nothing much because everything there seem to be very expensive (regretted not staying at Pratunam). We had our dinner in MK recommended by my daddy since he ate in that franchise before. To be honest, it was quite the tummy filling! My tour guide a.k.a my friend and dad friend was busy cleaning the plate for us after our tummy is filled with Thai food haha!

After dinner, it was about 11pm. Time to sleep! Hilton Shuttle Boat stopped the tour from hotel to Aisatique. So I gotta ride the free shuttle boat to Sathorn Pier and wait for the shuttle boat to come. Chilled at the pier, and finally reached back the hotel!

That's the end for Day 1!
Day 2
Good morning! Sawadeekap! Woke up 5.30am. OMG! SO EARLY! Brush teeth, shower, dress up and headed to The Flow @ Hilton for breakfast. I SERIOUSLY LOVE THE BREAKFAST WHAT THE FUCK! The food choice is dayummm! On par with Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Manila.
Photo's here!
After with the breakie, the car came, and yeah. We were heading for a road trip! From Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima, about 4 hours++ to see my master, Kruba Krissana. Let me just write in brief about master:
He is the famous monk in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China and Thailand for his amulet called Salika. His first batch of salika amulet was a masterpiece. Then he created another amulet called Thep Jamleng which is known as King of Butterfly. Now, King of Butterfly amulet is now one of the trending amulet in the current market (to date: 8/9/14) and also one of the most fake amulet in the market.

You can see my other amulets on the table too! |
So that's a brief story of my master. You can read more on Google of course. Okay, so we did take about 4hours to reach Wat Weruwan. When we arrived, OMG Master is in Buriram. We got no choice but to head down to Buriram. From Wat Weruwan to Buriram it took about 2 hours. When we reach Buriram, Master headed back to Wat Weruwan. OMG! Master is like playing catching game with us!! Dad did not give up, we took a detour back to Wat Weruwan from Buriram!
When we reach Wat Weruwan again, it's about 5.30pm already and raining heavily. What can the rain do to me and daddy? I die die also must see my master! So master opened the door for me and my dad (wait, it was his luksit) and then master came out from his room! Master Kruba came out, talk to us in Thai (luckily we have a translator) and smiling here and there haha! Then he showed me and my dad his Emerald Dragon which is a freaking masterpiece I can say! It's too beautiful! Master blessed us by drawing Thewa Nakri yant on our forehead, and he rebels my amulets which was made by him!
The best part was, Master gave me and my dad a lot of free gift! So these are the souvenir from Master:
1. Two Mongdum 2557 Block B amulet with Master Kruba personal yant. Amulet is made by him, taken out from his pocket. Only to me and my dad. My dad friend did not get it.
2. Four pieces of medium phim butterfly amulet. One for my dad friend.
3. Three Benjarong Somdej with three silver takrut from master pocket. One for my dad friend.
4. Two bracelet from master pocket.

Me, Master Kruba and Dad :) |
Yeap that much of thing for free! Haha Master know how to sayang his young luksit hehe! That time master was tired, so we did not stay too long. Before we left, Master also gave us! ^The picture is above.
When reach Bangkok, daddy took me for dinner at Bei Otto Soi 20. I was a good boy okay! I did not drink beer but orange juice and feast the pork knuckles with a lot of sausages! Pork knuckle was small, but okay. The sausages was delicious! I enjoyed the sausages more than the pork knuckle!
So we left at 7am, and reach back the hotel at 12am. More than 12 hours journey but worth it! That's the end of Day 2!
Day 3
Another time, Woke up early but this time was 6am. Temple trip 2nd round! This trip is to Kanchanaburi! That place have one famous landmark, River Kwai. We did not go to River Kwai this time as for this was a temple trip! First temple, Wat Pa Luang Bua Tua. Hmm, we went here to see tigers that's all. I GOT TO TOOK A PICTURE WITH THE TIGER WAHAHA AND DADDY ALSO GOT TO TAKE A PICTURE TOO!

After that, we went to Wat Tham Faet (Wat Thamfad). This is my another master temple, LuangPhor Watchara. LP was not around because he was on duty in Kuala Lumpur Wat Thamfad. What I can say LP temple has a very nice view! Bird eye view of Kanchanaburi haha! I rented the last bucha of LP Watchara, and got him to bless it in Kuala Lumpur.
 |
LP Watchara Bucha |
Last temple of the day was to Wat Pradoo. It was a sad thing that the famous LP Maha Surasak wasn't in the temple. He went to some other temple for ceremony. But it's okay, at least Luang Phor know he had a visitor from Malaysia who came to visit his temple!
That's the end of Day 3.
Day 4 was a short one. 6am flight back to Kuala Lumpur. Nothing much to do.
That's the end of my temple trip!
So what happened with Hilton Hotel and I? I was very upset with the service until I complained to their management and they felt sorry. In return, they gave us a fruit basket on Day 2, which was okay. I will forget about it since its some website fact error.
 |
The fruit basket from the hotel |
Then when we check out, they charged us for the mini bar. MY DAD AND I DID NOT TOUCH ANYTHING FROM THE MINI BAR EXCEPT THE FREE MINERAL WATER. Dad argued with the front desk receptionist. The manager came, and talked to my dad. So my dad threw in some facts (reasonable and valid facts) and the manager told my dad "It's okay, no need to pay already" with a tone. I was like, what the fuck is your problem? My dad got pissed and told him, 600Baht is no big deal for me, it's just a matter of me paying something I did not consume and let other people benefit? Then the manager was like "no sir, I am fine sir" blah blah blah... If my dad weren't there, I will just tell him to go fuck his ownself please. Seriously Hilton hotel with that attitude? A TOTAL DISGRACE TO ALL HILTON HOTEL CHAIN!
So that's my story between the hotel and I. No ghost, don't worry. AHAHAH!
Ciaos!
Hi John, can you please share your experience with kruba and his amulets?
