To start the month of June 2017, my parents just packed me up and kidnapped me straight to China. This time was to Shanghai and some other province.
KL→Shanghai→Hangzhou→Yiwu→XiTang→Wuxi→Nan Shan Zhu Hai→Shanghai→KL
That's my journey in Shanghai. Departed on the 1/6/2017 and arrived KL on 9/6/2017.
Let me just briefly write down what I did for the places
Shanghai
Here I went to Oriental Pearl Tower (东方明珠塔), it's the famous Shanghai Tower that has the 'Pearl Ball" look in the middle. Took the lift to go 259m above land, with the glass floor to see the view of Shanghai, scary but fun!
Then went to NanXiang Xiao Long Bao (南翔小笼包). It's famous for their Xiao Long Bau, located at near the Cheng Wang Miao (上海城隍廟), a must try when you are here.
After that, went to Nanjing Road. It was said that this place used to be a busy street during the old Shanghai era. But now it's filled with Branded Items. If you want to buy Rolex, you can find the boutique here.
Next is to see 夜上海, the night view of Shanghai. Dayumm, the landscape is beautiful!
Hangzhou
So I was in Dream Valley, a place where to see some shows. Beside the show, I sat on a "unsecure" hot air ballon and went up to the sky!
Next was to the West Lake of Hangzhou. This scenery you can find behind the RMB1. The unique part of this lake is they have 3 floating stupas in the middle of the lake. And during the Full Moon Festival (Lantern festival), you can see a reflection of 15 moons?
Following is to the Tea Valley. They say Hangzhou best tea is called the "Long Jing". Direct translation to English will be known as Dragon Well. Okay, this teach is expensive. 500g of tea leaves cost you at RMB900. The unique part of this tea is, you don't need to rinse before drinking, just pour room temperature water and you can just go ahead and drink it.
We then departed to the Silk Factory. It was said that 90% of the international silk in famous hotels, was produced by here. They even had some limited edition silk (made 100units), hand stitched designs which cause plenty of bucks. End up, dad bought the LE ones, and some of the top notch silk blankets/mattress.
XiTang
Xi Tang is a very nice place. It was so windy when we arrived this province, and the weather was gret! Cloudy sunny day, with cold breeze. Perfect for a walk. 300m away from the hotel, is a small town to walk along. I was pretty impressed, to see that type of town still remains in china. It's like those traditional shop lots/hotels/brothel house in the olden era, by the river. It did made me felt like I was in some dynasty kingdom era.
WuXi
This province by far is one of the best place for me, As I love historical stories, this place has the "Three Kingdom" story. Basically Three Kingdom is a olden era days historical fact. Where one kingdom was split into 3, declaring wars among kingdom, to find peace,
China used to have a drama series of this show, and it was shot here. They had a short performance during my visit, which gave us the WOW impact!
LingShan was the next destination we went. It's marked as China 5A tourist spot. What is unique here is the Giant Buddha statue. One of the biggest copper buddha statue. They say if yo climb to the top, and hug the buddha toe, your wish will come true. Without having a second though, my parents went and hug haha!
Another nice spot in this park is the water performance. At 4pm everyday, a small little buddha will appear out from the lotus flower and get shower from the 9 dragons. With the sun and water, it did create a beautiful rainbow!
NanShan ZhuHai
The name says about this place. It's named as "The mountain in the south, filled with bamboos which swings like a wave, making it the southern mountain with bamboo sea wave" Thats my own translation. This place, another favorite spot of mine. The air here is so fresh and breezy. A total love for a city person to get a great escape.
I wanted to see a live panda (I know in KL there's panda, but since I'm here, why do I still want to go see it in KL?), dad brought me up to the panda place, with a private guide. So basically, we went up there with my mom friend, and the whole park was like, booked by my dad?
Upon the journey, we stopped in the middle to see the SauSingGong. Longevity god in the Chinese God line, Then took the train to travel up the mountain, and stopped by some small little traditional town. Looked and understand how the olden days people survive, proceeded to the walk way, and headed for the panda!
That's the journey of my trip! A fun and tiring trip I would say but overall, a great experience!
