First of all, Happy New Year to you my readers!

So, here's a new product review! I was given the opportunity to test out the new watch from GUESS. Before I start, thank you GUESS Malaysia for the opportunity to let me show off, test it, wear it and fall in love with it!

GUESS is known for their clothing line. Raver's will know one of their product line which they had a collaboration with the world renown DJ, Tiesto. They took a leap from their clothing line and produced a smartwatch which is known as GUESS Connect, their first Bluetooth Smartwatch powered by MARTIAN.

I was given 7 days to try out this amazing watch. Let's start off with the appearance. The appearance of the watch is very eye-catching. There are few colours for this watch available in the market such as the Blue and Rose Gold Tone and White and Rose Gold Tone. I was given the Blue and Rose Gold Tone smartwatch to wear, test, and show it off to my friends and strangers! You can click here to see it on my wrist! The 45mm watch may be bulky, but overall, it does stand out on your wrist! If from far, you look at it on a person wrist you may think the person is actually wearing a Hublot based on the thickness and the size of the watch! Not forgetting, it does come with a very cool box!

The eye-catching smartwatch!
In order to use this watch, you got to first download the GUESS Connect App into your mobile phone and pair it with your bluetooth. This watch is compatible with your iOS and Android, so just head to your Google Play Store or App Store and download the free app!

When you switch it on, you will see MARTIAN displaying on the LCD bar, and the LED indicator to notify you on the battery status! Then you have to pair it with your phone through the application in order to fully utilise the whole watch function! Sometimes the connection may disconnect, but not to worry connecting it back is just easy as pie!

After you done connecting the watch with the app (please don't make a mistake by not switching on your bluetooth in your phone), you will receive the notification which says "Pairing Successful", and you're good to go!

This watch serves the purpose of notifying you on any incoming alerts in your phone! After you done downloading the application and connect the watch with your phone, there will be a list of notification that you would like to be notify via the watch.
Notification/Alert list
I had my WhatsApp, Instagram and LINE notification/alert turned on since my Facebook notification is always off. I would say the notification alert works very good. It does not have any delays in notifying me any alerts. I have other smartwatches with me, they don't seem to work well with the notification as it has delays and sometimes, they don't even notify me! Good job GUESS! This watch will just notify you, not allowing you to read the message via your watch like the Apple Watch/Samsung Smart Watch/Pebble. But it's already good enough for me, since I always have my phone in Silent mode.

Another point I would like to cover is receiving incoming calls. I was totally amazed that you can actually talk through your watch via the small built in microphone! When I received a phone call, my watch vibrated and I was like "oh, phone call!". Took out my phone, and stupidly picked up the call and I heard nothing. Until I heard the other side saying "John, can you hear me?" and I was like it's my phone spoiled or what, why am I hearing via speaker? Then i come to realise, its from the watch! So when you have your watch connected with the phone, phone calls will be answered through the watch! It's pretty cool though, to answer through the watch. Feel's like you're some FBI agent or something (watch too much of acton shows :p)

Vibration of the watch can be customised to your own style. You wouldn't want to have the same vibration pattern for all of your notification right? That's too boring for me. I did customised the watch vibration to my own likings!

You can customised the vibration hit from soft to hard. In fact, the hard hits of the vibration will actually give you a small wrist massage! :D

In conclusion, GUESS Connect is the first smartwatch line by GUESS powered by MARTIAN. I would say, it serves the basic purpose of a smartwatch. The notification alert is a top notch as it does not give you any "late alerts" unless your watch is disconnected with the phone. This watch does not track your daily activity such as your steps, climbs. Who will wear such a classy nice watch for fitness right? Overall, for the classiness of the watch as well the function, this is a good watch for any daily occasion. From meetings to casual outing, this watch will sure stand out on your wrist regardless of your wrist size!
